INTRODUCTION
Whisky Live New York brings a magnificent evening of great whisky, fine food and spectacular entertainment to the heart of New York. Organised by Whisky Magazine during Tartan week and held at the historic Puck Building, the seasoned whisky lover or novice can expect to experience an incredible and in-depth insight into the world of whisky drinking and producing. This is your chance to become closer to the industry, taste rare and sought-after whiskies from Scotland to Kentucky, increase your knowledge and meet the whisky experts!

New for 2008
Venue
Whisky Live New York has moved location to The Puck Building, one of New York’s most spectacular and historic venues in the heart of the Soho District. This is a fantastic space to use which will enable us to change the look of the show and make the event easier to navigate, and is easy to access via taxi, car, bus or subway, so ensuring a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
Tickets
The ticket names and prices and what you receive for your entry price have changed. There is a VIP ticket at $115, and a Standard ticket at $85. The VIP entry ticket includes 5 sample vouchers, and the Standard entry ticket 3 sample vouchers.
Both tickets include delicious food, the show guide and the Whisky Live tasting glass.
Whisky Experiences
The Whisky Experience areas are the education and entertainment zones, with themed areas providing sensory experiences such as coopering, food tastings, cocktails and much, much more. With a dram always on hand the Whisky Experience seeks to educate and entertain those who want to learn a little more about the diversity of this delicious nectar.
Cocktails. The Whisky Live Cocktail Bar will be active, providing a range of live demonstrations and samplings throughout the show.
The Beer Experience. Try a range of interesting and unusual beers. After all, whisky and beer are both made from malted barley, so let’s broaden the experience.
The Whisky Live Forum. On the stage throughout the show will be live panel debates and the opportunity to ask questions from industry leaders and experts.
Food and whisky combinations. A selection of food and whisky pairings will be available.
With great entertainment, on site retailing and great food, Whisky Live New York celebrates all that is great about whisky.
Masterclasses
The Whisky Live Masterclasses are a unique insight into the world of whisky and are tutored by master distillers and other leading whisky experts. Masterclass tickets are only available if you have a VIP or Standard entrance ticket. Masterclass tickets include New York sales tax and the handling fee is waived.
MC1 - The Glenrothes...A Sensory Journey
6.30pm - Ronnie Cox
The whisky industry has recognized the tireless work of Ronnie Cox by awarding him the accolade of Ambassador of the Year (Scotland) at the Icons of Whisky 2007. The judges paid tribute to Ronnie’s "outstanding contributions to promoting Scotch, particularly Glenrothes, around the globe." Ronnie travels throughout the world to communicate The Glenrothes story and the brand’s remarkable quality, variety and unique range. Each Glenrothes Vintage has a story to tell. With Ronnie in the lead, every sampling of the brand becomes a sensory journey into the extraordinary tastes offered by the individual marques. Whether accompanied by the sound of specially-selected classical music, the taste of fine chocolates or simply on their own, the distinctive characteristics of each Vintage of The Glenrothes are brought to the peak of enjoyment under his careful guidance.
MC2 - Yamazaki Japanese Artistic Perfection
7.00pm - Lincoln Henderson
Renowned whisky expert Lincoln Henderson returns to lead his popular tasting of a full flight of Yamazaki whiskies. Handcrafted at the oldest distillery in Japan, Yamazaki is made from the purest natural ingredients in perfect harmony with nature.
Discover the surprisingly smooth, complex taste and the secret of its ingredients whose uniquely Japanese characteristics have made Yamazaki an international award-winner. Yamazaki Time is not to be missed.
MC3 - Four Rose
9.00pm - Master Distiller Jim Rutledge
A Whisky Live Masterclass discussion led by Four Roses Bourbon Hall of Fame Master Distiller Jim Rutledge will cover the ins and outs of Bourbon production, the qualifications of what it takes to be considered
a Bourbon and Four Roses' unique history and brand attributes.

What is Whisky Live?
Whisky Live is the international celebration of whisky, bringing all the whiskies of the world together under one roof. Whisky Live prides itself on bringing together the finest whiskies, great food and a range of education and entertainment to make learning about whisky both fun and stimulating.

What is included in the entrance price?
5 vouchers for a VIP ticket, 3 vouchers for a Standard ticket, a selection of hot food, live entertainment, unlimited water, the Whisky Live Show guide and the Whisky Live tasting glass.
What food is provided in my ticket price?
There will be a delicious hot buffet with various meat, fish and vegetarian dishes as well as dessert. The buffet will be available throughout the evening.
Will Kosher food be available?
A Kosher meal ticket at an extra cost is available to purchase. Please ensure you pre-book your Kosher meal ticket via the Whisky Live ticket booking system.
What is a voucher?
A voucher is the event’s currency to enable you to sample. No sample can be tasted without exchanging a number of vouchers. You receive a number of vouchers as part of your entrance ticket, and further vouchers are available at a cost of $2.00 each during the show. You will require between 1 to 3 vouchers for each sample, depending on the age and rarity of the whisky. The principle is that un-aged whiskies or whiskies under 12 years are 1 voucher, and whiskies over 22 years of age are 3 vouchers. The number of vouchers requested for each sample is at the discretion of each exhibitor.

Designated Driver Ticket
Should a visitor wish to attend the show and consume NO alcohol, a designated driver ticket is available.
Designated Driver VIP
$85 ($100 on the door) including food, tea, coffee and water, show guide, tasting glass and access from 5.30pm – 10.00pm.
Designated Driver Standard
$65 ($80 on the door) including food, tea, coffee and water, show guide, tasting glass and access from 6.30pm – 10.00pm.
Kosher Meal ticket
Kosher meals are available for an additional cost of $25.00 and must be ordered on-line in advance of the show.
* All tickets purchased on-line are subject to New York Sales tax and a handling fee of $2.15 per ticket.
Vouchers
The voucher system has been introduced so that you can decide how many samples to enjoy at the show. You have 5 vouchers included in the VIP ticket price and 3 vouchers included in the Standard ticket price.
Further vouchers are available at $2.00 each and all samples are available only in exchange for these vouchers.
Each sample may have a different value of 1 to 2 depending on the age of the whisky. However, these values
are at the discretion of each exhibitor.

Un-aged whisky or under 12 years of age 1 voucher
Whiskies aged 13 years and older 2 vouchers
