Whisky Live Dublin a Success!

500 whiskey lovers attended first ever Whisky Live held in Dublin

Whisky Live Dublin, which was officially opened by Dublin Lord Mayor Gerry Breen, was a resounding success as up to 500 people visited the whiskey exhibition in the Mansion House.

The one day event held on Saturday 14th May showcased Irish whiskey, its distilleries and the success of the industry, and was the finale of the inaugural Whiskey Week Ireland.  Also on show were a number of international whisky brands, whiskey food pairing, a whiskey cocktail mixologist and Cooley Distillery’s cooper who held an interactive workshop on the ancient art of cooperage.

A series of Masterclasses hosted throughout the day were sold out.  The Masterclass topics included The Tullamore Dew Deluxe Range, The Cooley Distillery Story and the Single Pot Still Whiskeys of Midleton.

The Whisky Live Package also included a gourmet meal served in the bespoke dining area on the balcony level of the Mansion House’s Round Room while the hustle and bustle of the exhibition played out below.

Whisky Live founder Damian Riley-Smith said “We are delighted with the success of the first ever Whisky Live in Dublin.  The response from the industry and the general public has been phenomenal.  We hope to build on this success and come back even bigger and better next year.”
